Masculine nouns ending in -ī

A large group of nouns is formed by adding the ī ending.

This is identical to the -in ending in Sanskrit. In the PED dictionary, you will find all these nouns listed with an -in ending, but declined exactly the same.

Many of these agent nouns can also be used as adjectives.
