A common construction in Pāli is created with adverbs.
yāva (until, as long as, an unspecified point in time) and
tāva (then, at that point in time)
ahaṃ, yāva tumhe dharatha, tāva paṭijaggissāmi.
As long as you carry on living, that long I will look after you.
