In the cp. amatogadha, Cone (cf. s.v.) takes ogadha as a noun with the sense "(m.) plunging into, immersion;"

Bahubbīhi based on kammadhāraya: "Whose wishes are few, who have few wishes." Te bhikkhū yesaṁ icchā appā hontīti bhikkhū appicchā.

Bh. Bodhi puts it nicely: "The bahubbīhi is not a different kind of compound but a compound of any of the preceding types used as an adjective to describe a noun external to itself."
