Possibility \#5
Possibility #5¶
When ti follows a vowel, it becomes cc
ti > ty > cc
e.g. ati > aty > acc + anta > accanta
In Kaccāyana this is called (19) sabbo caṃ ti
and (28) para dvebhāvo ṭhāne.
| ati | anta | accanta | adj | final, complete |
| iti | etaṃ | iccetaṃ | pron | thus this |
| iti | āsi | iccāsi | aor | it was thus |
| ati | āyata | accāyata | adj | too tightly stretched |
| ati | āraddha | accāraddha | adj | overly aroused |
| pati | atta | paccatta | adj | personal |
as you can see this mostly occurs with the indeclinable iti and the prefixes ati and pati
There are a few other consonant changes discussed in Kaccāyana. Feel free to study them as an extra task.
